WW1 Kaiserliche Marine Damast dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. Maker marked with the Eickhorn squirrel and initials "C.E" on the blade . Blade original Damast by Eickhorn. Handle with typical fine stress cracks, worn condition, wire slightly shortened and pulled back inside the parts again. Pommel attached in worn condition. Cross guard in place, marked with number "13". Scabbard with oak leaf etchings in good condition, showing small signs of age. Matching brass metal parts, crown in excellent condition.  General good condition as found, push button missing. Total lenght (dagger in in the scabbard): 36cm, blade 18cm. 

This dagger was found locally in an estate of a Belgian navy officer who (as the story was) found it on the HMS Zinnia.
