Wehrpass to Friedrich Quellenberg, member of the Panzer Grenadier Regiment 64 and later Pz. Gren. reg. 79 (16. Pz Division). Quellenberg was a professional soldier who signed up for 12 year service. Awarded with the long service medal and westwall medal before the war Quellenberg was send as a Feldwebel to South of Belgium and France during the early May-June days of 1940. During the Blitzkrieg he was soon awarded the EK2 for bravery in France. In 1941 he was send to Romania and the Balkan area and he was later awarded with the IAB at the eastern front. Quellenberg was wounded several times during his service and received the wund badge in black! Transfered to Italy Quellenberg took part in the Battle of Salerno and the whole invasion of Italy september1943. A month later Q. was also wounded in the area of Termoli, middle Italy. After the confrontation in Italy Q. was send again to Russia (Tscherkassy, Cholm,...) were he was again wounded. Quellenberg climbed up in rank up to Hauptfeldwebel and was discharged March 1945!
