Soldbuch to Robert Anton Pohl, member of the Grenadier Regiment 983 that was part of the 275. Infanterie Divison based in Bretagne and later Normandy during the invasion of 1944. As part of this active unit and promoted to Obergrenadier on 1.7.1944 one can be certain that Pohl was part of the troops fighting the invasion troops. IR 275 was hold in Falaise pocket and parts later moved West. The book is complete with all pages. No award entries. Pohl was probably captured by the Americans whil pulling back to Belgium. The compete unit was disbanded in Aachen december 1944. Original photo of Pohl was taken out (probably while captured for administration reasons) but was put back in) and put back in. The photo is a 100% match with the staples and stamp! Soldbuch with swastika.
