Document grouping to Johannes Staack. Recipient of the EK2 early 1941, signed by Student. Staack who was part of Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 5 in Russia received the ostfront medal on 23.9.1942. Staack received his paratrooper qualification in October 1943 and was moved to the Pionier unit Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon 2 which was completely destroyed a few weeks after D-Day in Brest, France, september 1944. With this unit he received two grades of driver badges, bronze and silver. The grouping comes with the card of capturing by US troops, this card was send to his wife, Ilse Staack in Altmarck. The card clearly states that Staack was in a US POW camp on 10. October 1944. With the group an other card with photo of Staack in 1955, war wounded card.
Very nice paratrooper grouping of a rarer unit.
