Kriegsmarine U-802 grouping to San.Obmaat Karl August Jensen medic on the U-802. The grouping consists of the photo album and Wehrpass of Jensen, as well as his (very interesting) capture papers. Soldbuch with entry of U-boat badge, EKII and U-boot front clasp. Well filled out with uniform photo of Jensen. Very nice capture papers with pasport photos of Jensen during the surrender wearing POW nr D417060. On these photos Jensen still wears the bronze U-boat front clasp on the shirt!! Interesting fact... according to the Soldbuch Jensen had 3 weeks off duty between 16.12.1944 abd 7.1.1945. A small POW postcard 14.10.1945 from his wife Anne Jensen tells Jennsen that she expects a child that month.

Photo album of Jensen RAD photos, Kriegsmarine training, medical school and some fantstic photos from 1944 with the U-boat at sea. Some photos with cap badges, German cross, u-boat awards,...

U-802 was still at sea while Germany surrendered. It took sail to Loch Eriboll to surrender on May 11, 1945. It officially sank the Canadian ship Watuka on 22.3.1944 and managed to damage at least a few others. Some reports say that the U-802 sank two more ships but no conformation was found. It laid base in Lorient during 1944 and remained at sea for the biggest part of 1945.

Fantstic untouched grouping. All photos inside, not replaced or taken out. Very interesting late war large size German Type IXC/40 submarine!!
