Luftwaffe honour goblet grouping to pilot Robert Jurack, member of the Kampfgeschwader 55 with the iconic "Greif" emblem. Jurack took part in several dangerous mission during the Battle of Britain in 1940 including the bombing of Londen, Manchester, Glasgow, Liverpool,... Afterwards Jurack was sent to the Eastern front with KG55 and ended his He111 mssions bombing Stalingrad.
The group included the (stone mint) honour goblet of Jurack. Pokal is perfect condition without a scratch or dent. Beautiful overal blackened patina. Two flight books with all entries showing the exact locations of the bombings from 1939-1942. Last entries from Dijon, France in 19.5.1943.
With the Gobley comes the matching award document. Document in very good condition.
Jurack crashed on 1.11.1942 in Stalingrad with airplane He111 "G1+AH" after several weeks of severe bomings in and around the city. Three days later he received the German cross in gold and called back to Germany.
21/11/1944 Jurack was recorded receiving the bomber clasp gold with star pennant which proves he was still active as (bomber) pilot. History of 1944/1945 still needs to be researched.
