Luftwaffe Soldbuch to Oberleutnant Friedrich Neumeyer, member of the I. / Flak-Regiment 33 (gem. mot.) as part of the Deutsche Afrika-Korps. Neumayer, first part of Flak 641 saw action with Flak Abt 33 at the Western front. The unit was famous for the destruction of 5 British tanks. Afterwards Neumeyer was promoted to Leutnant and transferred to the South, Afrika! Neumeyer was awarded with the German/Italian Afrika campaign medal, the wound badge in black and the Iron cross 2nd class for his campaign in Afrika. Interesting entry on page 15: Neumeyer lost his driver license as a result of enemy engagement (Feindeinwirkung!!) in November 1942, at that time the unit was still in Afrika retreating to the North. Neumeyer received the EKII and a promotion to Oberleutnant. Last entries were made on May 1943 when the unit was destroyed in Tunesia. The Soldbuch remains in good condition with signs of wear, no photo was ever placed inside. Page 3/4 missing.
Very nice Afrika Sooldbuch to an officer! Rare!
