The Divisional Commander depicted on several photo's is Wilhelm Wegener, Generalleutnant and holding The Knight's Cross with Oakleaves. As he was Generalleutnant at the moment of the ceremony, the date is between March 1 1943 and June 27 1943 when he left the division. He later went on to become General der Infanterie and holder of the Knight's Cross with Oakleaves and Swords. He died just 1 week after he was awarded the swords, on September 24th 1944 after an attack by a low flying airplane. Willi Hackbarth was awarded the Knight's Cross on April 18th 1943, which places the ceremony between that date and the 27th of June 1943. Only two photo's contain text : the first one : "Div Kom! Wilm Wegener", the second one states : "Gefr Hackbarth"
