Soldbuch to Dr. F. Hoyden, member of Sanitätsdienste 331 and Feldlazarett 188. Hoyden Was entitled to wear his own gun, a 7.65 Walter. Interesting entry -"Wofür kämpfen wir?" erhalten am 25.7.1944, Feldlazarett 331" probably as measurement as his staff was anti-Hitler minded (see text below!!). Hoyden was awarded with the war merit cross 2nd class with swords and later the Kurland on 1.5.1945!! With the Soldbuch comes his Austrian identity card (no photo inside).

The Soldbuch is complete but has some damage in the corner. Very nice Soldbuch photo of a known Doctor.

Field Hospital 331: Established in December 1941 from personnel of the Eulenburg Medical Replacement Department. The boss was Dr. Bischoff. In the summer of 1942, the military hospital was located in Mokroje, 13 km north of Betliza. At that time, Dr. Müller, head of surgery, later also Dr. Schmidt and Dr. Brunk, head of internal affairs, Dr. Hoyden and head of the infection department, were Dr. Tozzi. There was also a dental station, which was run by Dr. Braun with Sergeant Münster. After Christmas 1942, the field hospital in Spask-Demanskt was loaded and taken to Velikiye-Luki. The hospital was then moved to Martinowo, west of Nassva. Here, after a night of drinking, the division physician Dr. Krüger made derogatory remarks about the Führer. His adjutant reported him. In order to avoid the threat of court-martial, he committed suicide. He was buried in the Nassimovo cemetery.  With the withdrawal of the HKL, the field hospital also had to change its position several times: Ushakovo, Glubokoye and Loknia were stations of the hospital until it reached Makushino. There, after the dissolution of the division, the military hospital became an army hospital.
