Soldbuch to Max Schlang, Member of the Pionier Battailon 792 which saw action at the Eastern front. Schlang was wouned on 19.5.1942 by a piece of shrapnell and received the wound badge in black together with the Eastern front campaign medal. On 1.9.1944 Max Schland received the war merit cross 2nd class from 10 A.O.K.  that was based in Italy. At that time he was part of the very uncommon unit 10. Armee Kdo. "Vietinghoff Scheel", named after its commander Generaloberst Heinrich von Vietinghoff, genannt von Scheel. Schland spend the 2nd part of his army carreer in Italy: Gargliano, Monte Cassino, Ancona, Adria, Ravenna and lastly Adria and Bologna were the unit surrendered. 

The Soldbuch is in very good condition with beautiful uniform photo of Schlang wearing the wound badge in black and ribbon bar with war merit cross and eastern front medal, stamped with Feldpost number 10536 matching with the Bau-Pionier-Bataillon 792! His Soldbuch survived the whole war, including some entries of his postwar prison camp in Italy.
