Wehrpass to Leutnant Ernst Bartak, member of the Panzer-Divisions-Nachrichten-Abteilung 4 as part of the 14. Pz. Division. Bartak was sent to the Eastern front and fought in Stalingrad. He was able to stay alive and retreat from the city. He went to NCO and officer school and remained in France. Just after his promotion to Leutnant at the Fahnenjunkerschüle Metz, he joined the Kampfgruppe "Fhj. Schule Metz Westen"  and WIA by a shrapnell in the area of Metz 6.9.1944, the last day of his Lehrgang!! One can only think that the school was under attack at that time. On 18.10.1944 he received the wound badge in black (under Ersatz-Grenadier-Bataillion 106). Wehrpass (zweitschrift) is complete and come with photo of Bartak.

Wehrpass to a young officer who earlier was in Stalingrad and was then wounded in Metz!
