Soldbuch to Rudolf Wania member of the Division "Brandenburg", member of 4. Kompanie Regiment 2 "Brandenburg". The unit was often disguised as Feldpostnummer 44297 or earlier as "Bau-Lehr-Regiment Brandenburg z.b.V. 800". Wania joined the unit quite late and was deployed in the Balkan area. During anti partisan operations in the area, Wania was injured in action by an aerial attack (Soldbuch code 31d) and ended up in a hospital in Austria. Wania received the wound badge in black and a week later this was upgraded to the wound badge in silver, probably his injury got worse during the hospitalisation (infection or an amputation). Soldbuch in very good conditon with beautiful uniform photo.
