Luftwaffe Soldbuch to pilot Karl-Heinz Ugrics, member of the 8./Kampfgeschwader 26 active in South France. Ugrics was missing in action on 31.7.1944, later his body was found by Spanish fishermen near Ibiza. Ugrics received the Luftwaffe pilot badge on 19.8.1943 and was on his first combat mission to attack an American ship convoy (convoy UGS-48) sailing the Algerian coast when their Ju88 with 'Zulassungsnummer' (registration) 1H+FT and crew was shot down. Inside of the airplane were: Uffz. Berhard Oehl Uffz. Karl-Heinz Ugrics Obgefr. Hans Hohnke Gefr. Manfred Erlen. The remaining crew was never found.
