Iron cross 2nd class by Alois Rettenmaier, Schwäbisch Gmünd. Three piece construction with magnetic, iron core. Maker marked with the PK code of Rettenmaier in the ring "16". Excellent, nearly Mint condition with a completely black core and lightly patinated frame, showing no signs of wear. The polished flanges still shine through the patina. No repairs, no damage. The cross comes with an original piece of ribbon.

A Rettenmaier cross in this condition is very rare!
